This is our final music video. We received a lot of feedback from our draft video which is shown below. As you can see the improvement is on a big scale and we feel we have produced a video that is of high quality. As you can see we only had a one shot video in our draft, this was partly down to bad organisation and our o lack planning. After the verbal feedback we received regarding the video from our peers we decided to make drastic changes. We were told that the one shot video does not work at all and that we need to put a lot more planning and organisation into it.

We asked people of a similar age to us what their opinions were regarding our first draft and there response was very negative and so we knew that we had to take into consideration their opinons and so we made drastic changes to the final video including things such as more variety of shots, more close ups and using a better location to ensure we produced a much better quality video. Our location was at Donington Hall and we chose to use this instead of a village hall due to feedback we received as the draft was to bland and didnt give any effect to the video and so the bigger scale of donington hall with the surroundings areas was much better.

We were asked a question during our pitch which was 'What sort of video will you be producing? Narrative or performance?' this was a very important quetion to as and got us thinking what would work best to suit the nees of our target audinence. Our plan at the start was to merge the two together but after looking at some videos in the same genre as us and also from receiving feedback fromour teacher and classmates we decided upon just a performance based video. Our target audience had commented to us that trying to mix both would be too complicated and give off that proffesonal look that we were aiming for. Due to the fact we were aiming for a more simplistic look. This just shows how vital the feeback we received was as at a vital stage we maybe would of attempted our first idea of trying tp mix both elements into the video which would of had a negative effect on our work.

Our draft video was lacking in creativity due to the location that we were using and also the fact that we did not have any of the band members that we wanted in our final music video, the reason for this was that our lead singer had other commitments and our keyboard player was busy filming his own music video. So after we produced this we asked for some feedback from our teacher and peers and what we received was very negative due to the lack of shots, enthusiasm, location and also body language of our band members due to these facts we were unabe to produce a lot of the elments that we orginally wanted to produce in the video. Some of our feedback was that the audience felt 'bored' whilst watching our video due to the lack of shots which was very dissapointing on our behalf. Another comment was that there was no chemistry between the band and that was potrayed in the video.

So after the failure of our draft we just used it as a learning experience and decided to start over and not take any of the footage from the draft. So after we had refilmed the video we did receive a lot more positive feedback and took everything that was said by our peers on board and made sure that it didnt happen in the final video. I believe we have achieved this. We have all of our chosen band members in the video and they are showing a lo enthusiasm and togetherness in the video which brings through the chemistry they have. We also managed to change location to a more grand venue with a very picturess backdrop which worked a lot better with the sort of video we wanted to produce. We were proved to be right as the fedback from our target market was very positive as they made comments such as ' A lot more profesional' 'Enoyable to watch'.

We also decided to post our video onto Twitter to try gain a wider view of what other members of the viewing audience thought of it. This method was very effective as we recievd some feedback from students who werent media students so they looked at the video in a different perspective.

Overall I believe that we gained a lot of knowledge of how certain media products should be presented through our audience feedback. It is always good to have an outside view on your media products as these may view things diffrently to you and so can help to improve your products and make them more exciting. Their views also make you ensure that your products are liked by your target audience as this is a vital selling point to the products. So as you can see it is vital to reeive feedback as they have a massive influence on the way I constructed my media products.
